Reality TV stars on cast hook-up rumors, their fears and\nwhat they\u2019re excited for most on the season premiere<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By Lie Shia Ong<\/em> The Season 13 premiere of \u201cDancing With the Stars\u201d is\nalmost upon us! MSN TV spoke with two of the twelve contestants, reality TV\nstars Kristin Cavallari of \u201cThe Hills\u201d and \u201cLaguna Beach\u201d fame, and Carson\nKressley from \u201cQueer Eye for the Straight Guy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n While it\u2019s yet to be determined if either of them can\ndance, both have a funny outlook on the cast hook-up rumors, \u2018Dancing\u2019 fashions\nand what Kristin-\u201cTosh.0\u201d-\u201cFunny or Die\u201d fans will know as the new \u201cit flash\u201d\nin Hollywood. If you don\u2019t know what we\u2019re talking about, read on!<\/p>\n\n\n\n MSN TV: What has been the most challenging for you both?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Kristin Cavallari: I think the biggest challenge for me\nis going to come Monday night\u2014which is dancing in front of a live audience,\njust trying to calm my nerves and be Zen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carson Kressley: That\u2019s totally my fear, too, because we\u2019ve had about two weeks of rehearsal and I can totally do my cha-cha, and then there are moments where I panic at the first note of the song. My partner\u2019s like over here and I\u2019m still here and she\u2019s like \u201cwhat are you doing?\u201d and I\u2019m like ‘I\u2019m freezing!’ So that\u2019s a little nerve wrecking. We\u2019re kind of running out of time. Now we\u2019ve just gotta rehearse, rehearse, rehearse and bring it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Did either of you\nhave dancing backgrounds before being cast on \u201cDancing With the Stars?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Kristin Cavallari: No. None. I\u2019ve never danced before. So,\nthis is all very new for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carson Kressley: I watched \u201cDirty Dancing\u201d 19 times once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What are you most looking\nforward to come premiere night?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Kristin Cavallari: I\u2019m excited to see everybody dance and\nhave fun. I think it\u2019s going to be a really, really fun night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carson Kressley: We\u2019ve all been rehearsing in different\nplaces so we haven\u2019t had that bonding that everyone talks about. All my friends\nwho have done the show say, \u201cyou\u2019re going to be friends with everybody.\u201d We\u2019re\nalready inseparable! We\u2019re moving in together. There are a lot of love interest\nrumors happening. I want to dispel those right now. We\u2019re not in love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kristin Cavallari: No. [Laughs].<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carson Kressley: We just really like each other and we\u2019re now friends on Facebook\u2026and Twitter. I\u2019m looking forward to seeing everybody dance and I\u2019m also looking forward to the costumes, because it doesn\u2019t seem real yet. We\u2019re getting around in sweat pants. What have you been practicing in?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kristin Cavallari: Just little work out pants and\nT-shirts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carson Kressley: Do you have leg warmers?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kristin Cavallari: No. I haven\u2019t gotten that far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carson Kressley: I do!<\/p>\n\n\n\n What advice have\nyou gotten from past contestants? I know, Kristin, you\u2019ve talked with Audriana\nPatridge (who competed in Season 11 of \u201cDWTS\u201d and was Kristin\u2019s co-star on \u201cThe\nHills\u201d).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Kristin Cavallari: She said to really enjoy it. She said\nit\u2019s such a great experience. She did say it gets extremely difficult as the\nweeks go on, but to just have fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carson Kressley: I\u2019ve heard the same. I\u2019ve also heard to\nwork hard, to take it seriously\u2014have fun with it, but try, and go to all your rehearsals\nand do it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Do you have any\nfunny stories form rehearsals so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Kristin Cavallari: I don\u2019t think I have any funny\nstories. I haven\u2019t fallen or anything crazy like that so far. Knock on wood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carson Kressley: I\u2019m just learning a lot of Russian. Like \u201cda\u201d and \u201cnyet.\u201d For like 3 days I thought \u201cda svi da niya\u201d meant thank you, but it means good-bye. So, every time I would thank my instructor, I was saying \u2018good-bye.\u2019 So that got a little irritating for her. After a while, she\u2019s like [in Russian accent], \u201cNo, da sci da niya is not thank you. It\u2019s good-bye.\u201d And I said, \u2018all right, da svi da niya\u2019 and then I hit it and came right back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Who is the team to\nbeat right now? What are your early predictions?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Kristin Cavallari: You know, it\u2019s hard to say because we haven\u2019t seen anybody perform. I think just based off of personality, I think David Arquette is going to be very entertaining, but I also think Ricki Lake just because she\u2019s just so sweet and I think America\u2019s going to fall in love with her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carson Kressley: I would have to agree. I would add Hope\nSolo because she\u2019s an athlete and very competitive. She\u2019s obviously probably in\nbetter shape than any of us since she was just in this World Cup thing. Right\nover my head. I don\u2019t know what it was, but it sounds like she had to run\naround a lot so she\u2019s probably quite fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Any message you\nwant to send out to your fans?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Kristin Cavallari: Oh gosh, just I hope you enjoy\nwatching me. I\u2019m out here which takes guts. I\u2019m extremely nervous and I hope you\nlike all my dances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carson Kressley: My fans have always been so great and so supportive. I\u2019m going to try to do my very, very best to give back and also have cute outfits I hope you like!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kristin, some of\nyour fans will remember your appearance on \u201cTosh.0\u201d in the \u201cFunny or Die\u201d video\nclip \u201cUnsolicited Advice Starring Kristin Cavallari.\u201d Is \u201cDWTS\u201d going to give\nyou your chance to get your \u201cflash\u201d on?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Kristin Cavallari: [Laughs] Oh God!
