\u2018Twilight\u2019 star\u2019s martial arts background helps lands him Disney XD role<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By Lie Shia Ong<\/em> Fans will recognize him as Seth Clearwater from the \u201cTwilight\u201d\nmovies and fans of Disney Channel shows like \u201cGood Luck Charlie\u201d and \u201cThe\nCheetah Girls\u201d will also recognize the name BooBoo Stewart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The 18-year-old makes his return to Disney on Monday,\nNov. 5, as he guest stars on the Disney XD show, \u201cKickin\u2019 It.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Stewart plays Carson, Rudy\u2019s former star pupil and an old\nfriend of the gang. When he beats Jack (Leo Howard) for a coveted spot to\ncompete in a tournament, Jack decides to join a rival dojo and compete against\nhis own team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n MSN TV spoke with Stewart about the episode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n MSN TV: What can\nyou tell us about your guest-starring role on \u201cKickin\u2019 It\u201d?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n BooBoo Stewart: I play the role of Caron. He\u2019s kind-of\nthe returning cool guy. That [episode] airs Monday, November 5 at 9 p.m. on\nDisney XD. I had a great time. I\u2019ve actually known Leo Howard for a while, so\nto be able to do a fight scene with one of your friends was a really awesome\nexperience. We just had a great time doing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I understand you\nwere perfect for this role because of your background in martial arts. What\nkind of training have you had?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019ve done a lot of training in martial arts. I started\nout in warring tempo, I did sport jujitsu, and I\u2019ve also practiced extreme\nmartial arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You mentioned you\nand Leo Howard were best friends beforehand. Are there any funny stories from\nfilming the episode?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It was really funny how fast we had to learn the fight\nscenes. We had to learn them in like an hour. We had several scenes. It was\nreally crazy and fun. I was afraid I was going to hit his fingers with the bow\nstaff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, were there no \u201caccidents\u201d\nin filming?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Maybe a couple, but just in fun\u2014all in fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your fans will\nalso recognize you from the \u201cTwilight\u201d movies. Are you sad the film franchise\nis coming to an end son?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n No, I\u2019m not too sad. You have to move on. Everything has\nto end at one time. I had an amazing time filming those films and I can\u2019t wait\nfor everyone to see the last one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What has your experience\nbeen like being a part of the \u201cTwilight\u201d movies and dealing with the hardcore fans?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s been pretty incredible getting to travel around the\nworld. I\u2019ve liked everything about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Do you keep in\ntouch with your \u201cTwilight\u201d co-stars?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I actually do. I was just talking to one yesterday because\nof the storm in New York. He plays the leader of the wolf pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Any message you\nwant to send out to your fans?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Thank you. Thank you for all your support.
