Lie Shia Ong-Sintzel is a Seattle-based former TV news producer with a passion for writing, communications and social media.

In her most recent role, she worked for Xbox video and Microsoft Movies & TV.

Prior to that, she worked with the MSN Video Team in Microsoft’s Vancouver, BC office, where she managed video for the Sports, Lifestyle, Health & Fitness, Travel, and Food & Drink verticals. She also oversaw MSN Video’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Her experience also includes working for MSN Entertainment, where she wrote stories, blog posts and created photo galleries. She also managed writers for the “Mom & Pop Culture” and “Parallel Universe” sections of the site.

During her three years with MSN Entertainment, she traveled to Vancouver, BC to interview the cast of the TNT show, “Falling Skies,” and the cast of the Disney Channel “The Suite Life Movie,” to Anaheim, CA for the D23 Expo, and to Salt Lake City, UT to cover the filming of the Disney Channel “Good Luck Charlie” Christmas movie.

Some of her most notable celebrity interviews include: Carol Burnett, Amy Poehler, Larry Hagman, Kristin Chenoweth, Dennis Quaid, Patricia Heaton, Wilmer Valderrama, David Arquette, Sean Astin, and Billy Dee Williams.

In 2014, she was a field producer at former Seattle Seahawk, Richard Sherman’s second-annual Celebrity Softball Tournament for Talk it Up Productions.

Lie Shia is a former member and Seattle Chapter President of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA). She also served on the University of Washington’s Department of Communication Alumni Board.

Her interests include all-things social media, photography and watching her beloved Seattle sports teams (Go Seahawks, Mariners and Huskies!) compete.
